Schedule is subject to change as new families register for co-op. Please take a look at the schedule and class descriptions below and prayerfully consider where you might serve. All families are required to volunteer (a minimum of two hours for part time, and four hours for full time) at the co-op during co-op hours. Many hands make light work.

Description: We will be exploring God’s creation from the smallest microscopic bacteria to the largest of the animals created. We will look at nature and discuss variety and specific purpose to every plant and bug. We will learn about DNA and how God provided divine inspiration for our creation down to the smallest detail. Section reviews for each chapter will be completed weekly. The tests for this class are open book/take home. Copies of the test will be provided in class. 

LAB - 
Each week we will have a hands on experience to enhance the lecture. We explore bacteria, botany, cellular structure and anatomy. We dissect at least 12 different specimens, grow our own bacteria, use microscopes, and use a life size skeleton to learn our bones.

Description: We will explore the characteristics of the elements that make up our world and how they interact with each other. We will learn about the history of many great front runner scientists as they made discoveries and developed many of the products we use today. We will learn the Gas laws, formulas, balance equations, and the periodic table of elements. Section reviews for each chapter will be completed weekly. The tests for this class are open book/take home. Copies of the test will be provided in class.

LAB - 
Each week we will have a Lab experiment that will correlate with and enhance each lecture/ Chapter of the text. We will look at key concepts and draw conclusions into everyday life. We will experience slow, precise reactions and sometimes very explosive ones.

Description: We will be covering Mesopotamia, The Egyptians, The Hebrews, The Greeks, and Rome.

No additional books will need to be purchased, however there will be required reading for each unit that you will be able to get from the library. If all assignments are completed and reading logs completed, 9-12 grade will have completed 1 credit for World History, 1 credit for Bible, 1 credit for Writing/research, and 1 Credit for Art.

Each individual student will be able to pick what they want to read about for the unit being covered. Example: Egypt - If the student is interested in the Pharaohs, they can read about them, or how the pyramids were made, they can pick the subject they are most interested in and will either have a project, writing assignment, or oral presentation that will have to be presented to the class. Each unit will last from 1-4 weeks.
